Translation
Translating documents from one language to another is more than just translating words. While translating, we make sure that our translators transfer the meaning, thought or the intention in the source document into the translated document in order to meet our clients’ expectations. We only employ professional translators and we ensure that translations are always carried out by native speakers who are more in tune with the nuances of the language you wish to have your document translated into. To ensure that you get the best translation possible, the first translation is given to a second translator for review. Then it is given to a third translator for quality assurance. Once this quality control process has been completed, we can submit your translated document. We manage and produce the highest quality translations into and from French, English, Kinyarwanda, Kiswahili and Kirundi.

2. Transcription
LCI offers professional transcription of recordings in MP3, MP4, WAV, WMA, WMV and other formats. Our transcription services also include stamping and translation. If you have a recording you need transcribed and translated, we can help you. Once assigned, a skilled translator will transcribe it and send back the translated text as quickly as you need it.
3. Software/Web site Localization
If you want to communicate easily and accurately through your Web site and software, you will need to have it localized, i.e. adapted for a specific region or language including cultural habits and conditions, which may be required by your client’s needs. Therefore, localization goes beyond traditional process of translation. At LCI we understand the need for accurate Web site/software localization or translation and what it takes to do it accurately, while respecting the end user’s cultural habits and expectations.
4. Back-translation and Proofreading
LCI provides back-translation services. Back-translation involves translating a document that has already been translated into a foreign language back to the source language. This will be done by someone who was not involved in the translation process and they will only use the translated text and should not rely on anything else they know about the subject. Back-translation is a very effective, very stringent quality process. We also offer services related to bilingual proofreading, monolingual proofreading and pre-print proofreading.
5. Other Language Services
With our passion for languages, we are currently focused on developing dictionaries and handbooks that comprehensively document the wide range of words and concepts from Kinyarwanda, English, French and Kiswahili in order to provide interested people with the educational opportunity to self-learn these languages so that they can confidently live and communicate in today’s world. We also provide training in the above languages.
